Technology

Our goal is to seek out the most updated technology to provide you with state-of-the-art dental care that makes your treatment efficient and produces outstanding results every time. Both Dr. Filson and Dr. Hei have spent many hours learning about the latest and greatest dental equipment and materials because they make your treatment more efficient and comfortable.

Please take a moment to learn more about our technology and how it benefits you. You are always welcome to call our office if you have any questions.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays provide our team with clear, informative diagnostic images, allowing us to identify and treat dental problems in their earliest stages. Although the digital sensors we use for taking images of your mouth look similar to traditional x-ray film, the sensor is actually linked to a computer. Once we take the image, it’s projected onto a screen so our dentists can see your x-rays in great detail. Digital x-rays are also safer for the environment because we don't need to use and dispose of processing chemicals used with traditional x-ray films.

iTero Digital Impressions

iTero Digital Impressions are an impressive advance in dental technology that does away with messy, uncomfortable impressions. You don't have to worry about a bulky metal tray or sticky pink paste because our doctors use a state-of-the-art instrument that takes 3-D images of your teeth.

During the process, we view these images on a monitor so we can make adjustments to ensure the most precise results quickly and comfortably. The image is then sent electronically to our dental lab where your finished restoration is created.

Fastbraces

Fastbraces are a new orthodontic treatment that can straighten teeth quickly and easily using a revolutionary approach to moving teeth. The secret to Fastbraces is the unique design that speeds up the straightening process by using triangular-shaped brackets. The brackets move the tooth roots simultaneously with the crowns, unlike traditional braces, which address movement of the crowns only after the position of the roots have been corrected. Since both parts of your teeth move together during the process, treatment times with Fastbraces are significantly shorter. In many cases, we can achieve desired results in about six months or less.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is specially designed for use in dentistry. This small handheld camera is about the size of a pen and allows us to take highly detailed images of your teeth. These enlarged images let us detect details that are simply too small to see during a visual exam.

We will show these images on a monitor so you can see what we see. Using these images, we can show you the reason you need treatment and talk to you about your options. Using an intraoral camera provides us with the information we need to make your diagnosis easier and more accurate.

Laser Technology

Our advanced laser technology allows us to detect problems in your teeth more quickly and repair them with more precision. Safer, quicker, and less invasive than traditional dentistry, dental treatment with lasers can benefit you if you're anxious about dental procedures or just looking for ways to streamline your treatment.

With dental lasers, we can minimize or eliminate the use of drilling, decrease discomfort associated with dental procedures, and provide for quicker healing times.
